The Internet Made Me Do It

I used to post wishlists all the time, but since trying to be more responsible, I have learned to avoid shopping. If you don't know exists, you can't know you need it, right? Well, recently there have been some cool new brands that have been getting my attention-thanks Facebook. I thought I'd share a few things I have dying to try and which ones I have.

Glossier-I can't resist their cool girl, no make-up make-up looks, and simple packaging. So many of their products have a cult following. I ordered Boy Brow and Milky Jelly Cleanser. I will be posting a review soon. Plus, when you order they send you stickers. Awesome.

Bellabeat- I have always wanted a fitness tracker, but spending the money for an ugly band just didn't seem worth it-would I even wear it? The Leaf design by Bellabeat is tempting me. They are gorgeous-I am digging the Urban Rose Gold & Grey. I am this close to pressing the order button-if anyone has one let me know your thoughts!

Thinx- The NYC subways are covered with ads for Thinx. With how uncomfortable, inconvenient, and expensive having a period is I thought, "What do I have to lose by trying these out?" And now I recommend them to everyone. Their ad campaign might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you have a period, the product is, whether you use these solo or want a back up for another method.

Betabrand-At first, you see the Yoga Dress Pant Facebook ads and laugh a little. Then, you slowly start imagining yourself sitting at the office completely comfy while still looking presentable. At least that's the impression I had. I have to admit this winter, I have only been wearing jeans to the office, but when it gets a bit warmer and I feel a little more up to dressing up-but still being comfy-I am going to have to order a couple pairs.

Christmas Wish List 2015

The older I get the more difficult it is to make a Christmas list. When your sole income is based on birthday money, it's easy to have a laundry list of things you want. This year, I am really after little luxuries and upgrading some everyday items (putting some Christmas money towards the higher ticket items).

Nars Pro Palette Wishlist

I have been crushin' on Nars lately as evidenced by a few recent purchases. I might have freaked out a little when I heard of their release of the Pro Palettes a couple months ago. I probably built several ridiculously expensive palettes until I settled on this selection of wishlist items. Of course, there are many, many more that in my dream world I would add to this adaptable palette.

I love eyeshadows, and actually don't have too many from Nars. Definitely a lot of classic duos I need and the pro palette format seems perfect to stock up. I have been wanting the Kalahari Duo for what seems like forever, and I only hear good things about Cordura. All About Eve is another classic for a neutral eye look. Ashes to Ashes looks like a cool violet taupe dream. The Nars blushes I have are basically my favourites of all my collection, so I can't help but want to add another shade in the mix. Dolce Vita rusty rose shade looks right up my alley.

A Summer Wishlist

I haven't been feeling the urge to shop all that much lately. Maybe it's due to the fact that the items on my wish list come with a little higher of a price tag. I must admit though, I did recently order a few of these things... Summer isn't my favourite season, so sometimes a little material items are needed to get me excited for it.

After having given up on the whole being tan thang, I discovered last summer the Tarte Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanner. I need to get another tube for this year! It's easy to apply and is a natural colour-even for my pale skin. It has been raining like crazy recently. I need to finally get some rain boots. I love the look of these glossy graphite Hunter ones. I have been wearing the same pair of RayBan Wayfarers forever now. It's time for an update. I have been lusting after the Clubmasters for awhile now (thanks, Gh0stparties), and it's about time it's happened.

Moving from Florida to New York has greatly reduced my need for bathing suits. Though, it would be nice to have that one great suit for any vacation, and I think I found the one in the Triangl Poppy in Blush Crush. The neoprene material really does seem to be super flattering, and I love their bold, yet simple, designs. Zoya is my favourite nail polish brand. I am wanting quite a few from the summer Island Fun & Paradise Sun collections, especially this bright purple and teal.

I love my straw cups. And I love my cats. This band.o cup feels like it was made for me... so I had to throw it in. I have been looking for a leather tote bag. I am all for the big bags that you just throw a ton of stuff into. The Cuyana Classic Leather Tote in Fog might just be the one. I love that you can get gold monogramming.

The theme of this wishlist seems to be my need to upgrade. And it seems that time has also come for my dear, dear iPhone. 4. Yup. I am still using the iPhone 4. I am suspecting its long life is coming to an end- there have been some subtle signs. Anyway, I could go on and on about my phone. When the time does finally come, I am excited to get the iPhone 6 and this sweet Peach Blossom case from Rifle Paper Co. It will be a very exciting day indeed.

Winter Wishlist

Every season, new items make their way to my wishlist (...and subsequently shopping cart). I am pretty content with my core winter items, but a few new accessories and make-up items would spruce up my winter look (Spruce. Like a Christmas tree...) I am way more of a make-up lover than a clothes/shoes/handbags kind of girl. I invest more time, money, and effort into my make-up routine and collection than my wardrobe. This wishlist reflects that in my pricey make-up products and my super affordable fashion items. I think it strikes a good balance.

Just thought I would quickly share my current skincare wishlist! I have been really happy with a lot of the products I am currently using and repurchases of those items are definitely on my list; however, I thought I would share some products that I have been wanting to try!

Fall Wishlist

Currently, there have been several items I have been lusting over as perfect fall essentials. 

I love sweaters; I wish I could wear them all year round. Nothing is more comfortable and surprisingly put together than a cozy sweater, skinny jeans, and a pair of boots. I have been loving these open cable pullover sweaters from Target. At 24.99 each, I might just have to pick up this gray colour and the mossy green. The length is great, long enough for leggings, and they are 100% cotton, so no itching or shedding. Next on my fall fashion must-haves are scarves. This H&M circle scarf with an oriental-inspired print is one I have had my eye on. Plus, it would look great over the sweater (which, of course, means I need it). Each season is not complete without a candle haul from Bath & Body Works. I need to pick up a three-wick in Leaves and Autumn. The mason jar candles look very cute as well. I love the sweater printed label. Pumpkin chai lattes are my life in Autumn, so of course I need somewhere to store my drink of choice. While picking up Pumpkin Chai loose leaf from David's Tea, I saw their complete fall collection. So adorable. Their newest designs of Perfect Tea Mugs had instantly won me over. I love the woodland animal print but am determined to add this colour changing leaf design to my mug collection. Even though I am currently not in school, something about the fall just makes me want to be more organized. I have been in a (perhaps unhealthy) obsession with Filofaxes. The Personal Aqua Saffiano was on my birthday wishlist, and Preston let himself be an enabler and ordered it for me. Finally, I can't make a wishlist without a beauty item. The ultimate in fall blushes, Nars Sin, a beautiful berry with gold shimmer,  is sitting on this list waiting to be purchased.

As an owner of the original Zara Office City Bag, when I saw the new mini version on the site I was ecstatic. This will be perfect for fall, especially in this gorgeous navy colour.  I have been hearing so much lately about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. I am eager to purchase one but am debating between the Dim Lighting and Diffused Lighting. I think I am leaning towards Diffused, but if you own any of these powders let me know which you prefer! Another popular fad lately has been midi-rings. These rose gold chevron rings from Brandy Melville are the trifecta of trends and very inexpensive. I first saw the Zara Pointed Ballet Flats on Milk Bubble Tea's blog. Instantly it was love, so perfect. I love tea, bunnies, and my iPhone, and the print Teacup by Fifi Lapin merges all three and more with it's gray and blush colour scheme. I love the look of the packaging of Too Faced's Better than Sex Mascara as well as the cheeky name. The Diptyque candle and Fossil Rose Gold Watch are splurges that have been sitting on my wishlist for a long while now. One day, one day.
