Birchbox Haul

Ordering from Birchbox is always a pleasure. They have a great selection of products, including exclusive sets, points for money off, free samples, and awesome gifts with purchase. I was running low on my beloved Liz Earle Skin Tonic Spritzer, so when I saw the Liz Earle Refresh & Revitalize set, I decided why not try the EyeBright Soothing Eye Lotion and get a full-sized and travel-sized Skin Tonic. The EyeBright lotion is super soothing, and it helps remove all the make-up residue that can be left behind after cleansing. For my mystery pack, I received the Vasanti Brighten Up Scrub, another previous favourite, and this cute green headband (I got the pink one in a previous Birchbox.) Flipping through a cookbook is my idea of a good afternoon. I had to add on The Kitchy Kichen cookbook from Claire Thomas. I love her blog. Though it's not exclusively vegetarian, there are a ton of great veggie options and inspiration. Check it out!

Bath & Body Works Haul | Summer

It's always fun to stock up on seasonal Bath & Body Works products. Here are just a few new items I picked up for the summer. My apartment smells like a tropical resort!

Isn't this turtle wallflower pretty!

Had to get the cucumber melon throwback body wash. This was my favourite scent as a teen (& probably pre-teen too!)

Did you get anything at the big B&BW sale?

#birchboxbrag Vol. III

Beauty Blender Blender Cleanser Solid
Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Soft Brown
Beauty Protector Protect & Oil Argan Oil
Mystery Pack: Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair, Manna Kadar Lip Locked

Every few months, I like to cash in my BB points on some new things (or some sampled favourites). The rewards system is one of my favourite parts about Birchbox. Actually, I like everything about Birchbox-the well-curated boxes, the large community, the Birchbloggers program. There are a lot of perks. Anyway…with points, percent-off codes, and the freebie mystery pack, I got this haul for two-dollars.

I had been wanting to try the Beauty Blender Blender Cleanser Solid for awhile now, but $15 for a bar of soap-it just never made it to the cart, especially since I love the six-dollar Sonia Kashuk brush cleanser. I will have to do a brush-cleaning post soon. I feel like there are a million & one blog posts on the topic though, so let me know if you want there to be a million & two… I have to say the solid is great.  It gets deep into the sponge to truly deep clean; it also works great on your regular brushes. I am still testing it out-my biggest concern is how long the bar will last. Soap bars just seem is disintegrate on me, but the packaging has a little plastic strainer in it to keep it dry.

As you may know, I am all about the brows of late. I fell in love with the Anastasia Brow Whiz, but after trying the Dip Brow Pomade, I can’t imagine using anything else. It looks so natural- I got the same shade as I have in the Brow Whiz, Soft Brown. It lasts all day. I use it with an angled brush, and it’s surprisingly quick and easy to use. I start by using the spooly end of Brow Whiz and then just dip my brush into the cute little pot-which actually is not so little.

Isn’t it the best when you try a sample and just know you have discovered something awesome? Well, it’s bad when you don’t want to have to buy the full-size. A little vial of the Beauty Protector Protect & Oil got me hooked. Shiny, healthy hair. And it smells so good.

Mystery pack time-and it’s two things I have tried already. I guess they had a lot of extras from the Relax & Recharge box. I’m not complaining as it was one of my favs. Check out that box here. I can’t decide if I just want to use these samples again or share the silky hair and mauve lips with a friend.

Haul | Target Dollar Spot Valentine's Day

Yes, Valentine's Day stuff is here. Weirdly enough, Valentine's Day is one of my favourite holidays. Every V-day post, I am always defending it. It's such a polarizing holiday. I just love all the cute little gifts and decorations, and dinner & a movie will always be one of my favourite date nights no matter how cliche.

Even though it's a bit early, Target always seems to run out of the holiday stuff, so I decided to get it while I could. I loved the selection of washi's and tried very hard to limit myself by picking tapes that could be used for other occasions. I loaded up on sticker sheets and threw in some sticky notes and page flags as well. They had so many cute erasers, and even though I rarely use pencils, I decided to get a bag of the little robots. I could say the word 'cute' a million more times, so I think I will just let the pictures sepak for themselves...

Any V-day purchases & plans?

New In | Rebecca Minkoff Rose Gold Mab

I treated myself to a little Christmas present. I was going to use all that Christmas money and those Visa gift cards for bills (which I did a little), but instead decided to get a new handbag. I got a new title at work and was feeling like I wanted to refresh my 'work-drobe' to match the change. My mission was blazers & a work tote, and I definitely succeeded. Today, I will be sharing the new bag. It's a Rebecca Minkoff Medium Mab Tote in Saffiano Rose Gold. Those words are some of my favourite things...

Bath & Body Works Winter Haul

Christmas may be over, but winter has only just begun! We have been getting snow quite frequently-but not too much of it. It will be nice to have these cozy scents on chilly days.

Sephora Haul

Don't you just love Sephora during the holidays? The gift sets, the minis, the $15 dollar rewards card... I admit I felt like I was missing out when the November sale came about being a mere BI, so I was pretty excited to get the reward email. Last year, I forwarded the email to my mom, so she could get me the Naked 3 palette at a discount (I promise I wasn't forcing her to buy me presents-I knew she was going to get it for me, so I thought I'd save her some money.) This year I decided to pick up another lust-worthy palette and some basics that I needed to stock up on.

Haul | Target OneSpot Stationery

I am always rooting through the Target dollar section. Usually just picking up a few things here and there, but every once in awhile finding a lot of great things. Target may be a bit early with the holiday items, but I just couldn't help it. Now I feel thoroughly stocked up for wrapping.

#BirchboxBrag

When it comes to Birchbox points, I'm a hoarder. I waited a whole year before placing my first order, but I have caved for a good limited edition box. After collecting another 500 points and having a cart filled with favourites, I decided it was about time to go on a point spending spree.

Haul | Whole Foods Natural Beauty

So I had a costly run at Whole Foods this past weekend. But what was surprisingly not so expensive was the skincare. I literally wanted to buy everything. I decided to stick to the plan and to pick up a new cleanser and rosehip oil, but I couldn't pass up a new mask so that ended up in the cart as well.

A little IKEA haul

Preston & I took a little trip to Red Hook, Brooklyn this past weekend and decided to stop in IKEA. Practically everything in our apartment is Ikea. We love it. Though, we didn't have any big items on our list (and the only thing I was going in for was a milk frother), we ended up with a few little odds & ends that I am super excited for. Along with a list of things I hope to pick up in the future...

Target OneSpot Finds

After mentioning my love for the Target dollar section in my Filofax Weeks post, I thought I would share some things I found last week (if you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen this haul.) Now, I have been scouring the Targets in the NYC area for the newest line (think corals, blues, & watercolours) but have yet to find any. I did, however, find a lot of things that I hadn't come across previously.

New In | Winter Sales Fashion Haul

I am not too much of a fashion girl, so I rarely post on topics relating to the sort. My 'classual' aesthetic isn't the most interesting (every ootd post would be jeans & a sweater). I do, however, love shopping.  I picked up a few new items during the winter sales that I thought were super great steals  And though they are surplus items from the winter season, I went in with the mindset to find things that would fit in perfectly for spring. Wishful thinking perhaps...

Mini Haul & Review | Lush Christmas

This Halloween, I stopped by Lush to check out their Christmas items (I like that this sentence has two holidays in it...) There were so many fun, festive items! Since it was still October, I limited myself to just a couple of winter products. Though I know I will be coming back for more.

My First Birchbox Order

I have been subscribed to Birchbox for over a year now, but as of this post had not ordered any full-sized items from their online shop. Instead, I had been hoarding my points in order to make a big purchase to mark my one year. By the end, I had accumulated 600 points, equivalent to $60 to spend. I coupled those points with a 15% off discount code. Additionally, I added a few promos to my cart. I ended up with a cart total of over $100 and reduced that down to $1.04.

Lush Haul

Yesterday was my first time at Lush & I went crazy! For a long time, I had been reading about Lush products and looking at reviews online, but I never ordered or went to the store. There are several locations in NYC and when I happened to be in the area of one I decided to go for it! This has been a super stressful month & there is more to come so the idea of having a nice relaxing bath was too good to pass up.
