Black & White Floral Nails

Black & White is forecasted to be a big trend this Spring while florals are always a classic choice for that time of year. These two looks are combined in this monochromatic floral nail art. My inspiration was my new cardigan from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection.

I used black, white, & gray polish for the design and completed the look with a matte finish top coat. I started with a black base then added white blobs using the brush in the polish. Next, I used a nail art brush to add gray overlapping the white somewhat. Then, I used a finer nail art brush with the black polish to draw the petals. Finally, I used a matte top coat to finish the look.

I love how the flower print isn't too feminine because of the colours (or lack thereof). Next time, I might add more flowers so there is more overlap and less negative space.

I also really love my inspiration, the cardigan. It can easily adapt from work-wear to casual. Ands it's a great transition piece from winter to spring. Now, I can't help but love it since I scored it for an amazing price. I tend to wait for the designer collection pieces to go on sale (except for Missoni, that I had to swoop in on opening morning!) & I happened to get super lucky browsing and finding this sweater for only 8 bucks! Thank you whoever returned this online purchase to the store.

Do you ever match your nails with your outfit? Are you going to purchase anything from the Prabal Gurung for Target Collection? I'm definitely debating buying the black pumps!
