Essie Holiday Shades

I found this cute little essie set at Target the other day. For a surprisingly good deal,90% off, making it less than $1.50. I love the mix of traditional holiday shades and winter pastels. My first pairing was with mind your mittens, a seafoam blue with a bit of shimmer, and rock at the top, a chunky gold top coat.

Also, included was cocktail bling, a blue-toned lavender creme, and a-list, your classic red.

Lush Valentine's Day 2016

Today, the snow is pouring down. And a blizzard is the perfect day for a bubble bath. I picked up a couple of new Lush items in anticipation. I finally found the Unicorn Horn! Last year, I was unable to acquire it, so I am super excited. I also got Milky Bath, a new bubble bar. I love cocoa butter, so I knew I had to try it. Plus, I love the simple white & silver design.

Beauty Favourites | December 2015

Happy New Year! This new year has had a rough start. I have been swamped at work with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Good thing I had my Florida vacation for a little break before the madness. After January, though, it should all be back to normal. Crossing fingers. Here are my favourites from the last month of 2015.

Muji Containers
Zoya Remove
The Face Shop Cocoa Hand Creme
Burt's Bees Cucumber Sage Facial Towelettes

ABM Happy Mail | December 2015

This little package arrived after I was in Florida for the holidays. It was like second Christmas opening it up. I loved all the gold foil details and bold illustrations. The 'This is my year' new year's resolution card was perfect for getting excited about 2016. I also loved all the stickers, especially the little washi strips. They will be perfect for Filofaxin'. I loved the images of the beets, taxis, and shake, and the gold details of the marbled 'Thank You' card and the solar system.

Happy New Year!

2016 seems like such a big number. But it's here. I love the new year-reflecting on the past and anticipating the future. I had an amazing 2015, and I think 2016 is going to be even better. Not that every year doesn't have its ups & downs, but overall, I feel proud of what I've accomplished and made many memories along the way.

Each year, I make a few resolutions. Nothing too out of character or set to fail-just a few things to keep in mind when life gets busy. They even tend to stay the same each year. Here is the list for 2016:

Read at least one book a month.
I have been doing this one for a few years now, and I love having just a little bit of a set commitment to keep it going. I always surpass the goal, but it helps to keep it consistent. Instead of just a couple of binges a year, I always have a book in my purse. I also love keeping a little yearly list in my Filofax.

Pack lunch.
Living in NYC, it is so easy to eat out for basically every meal of the day. Especially, lunch. There is just never enough time to shop, make, pack. I made a cheeky purchase of a couple of PlanetBoxes for Preston & myself-so I am hoping that will jump start this goal. I got Preston the Launch, for a bigger main, ideal for leftovers. I went with the Rover, because it looks perfect for snacky meals, which are easier to pack up and my favourite.

Travel.
Preston & I are at that stage in life where we have a little money, a bit of stability, yet aren't too tied down. Perfect time to travel. We have a list of places we want to see, and our goal is one international and one domestic trip a year (along with our family trips to Florida). I just renewed my passport, and I am ready to go!
