Lifestyle | Barstool & Cart Decor with Chairish

I live in a teeny-tiny Brooklyn apartment. I count my lucky stars that I have a breakfast bar. I literally do everything at this counter-top. All meals of the day-coffee, food, drinks- and at times it turns into a makeshift office... I have been a bit obsessed with bar carts lately, so I thought I would share a little inspiration/wishlist for creating my own bar space-even in my small place.

I like mixing and matching vintage & new, timeless & trendy when I decorate. According to this quiz, which I highly recommend-super fun, I have a retro eclectic style. Chairish is a furniture and decor site where you can buy and sell your vintage pieces. I love these Metal Frame and Wood Barstools. The metal and wood give it a rustic vibe that contrasts perfectly with the crisp lines. There are a ton of other barstools available too featuring a range of different styles. Another Chairish find was this Vintage Brass Bar Cart. Such a classic vintage piece with a lot of quirk. Anytime I am at the flea I am always checking out vintage glassware. You can find the coolest designs. It's even easier when you can look at everything from your home computer. These Georges Briard Highball Cocktail Glasses have such a neat peacock-like design and would look gorgeous displayed on the cart.

Of course, you need some drinks for your cart. I am a fan of Kraken Black Spiced Rum, especially for holiday drinks. Plus, I love the bottle and nautical illustrations. Some extra goodies necessary for the bar cart are gold paper straws. As I said, my bar counter is a multi-use space and is more often used for a place for drinking coffee rather than sipping cocktails. These stackable mugs from the Oh Joy collection in Target are vintage-inspired with an affordable price tag. Add a couple of pillows and some prints (Brooklyn & Stay Close) to complete the space. And at this time of year, I always have a candle burning-a nice bar ambiance, but I do it for the fall scent.

Chairish is quite a fun site to browse. Some things are pretty pricey, but there are some good finds. One of my favourite features is that you can select your city to view all the pieces located there, and then if you buy, you can pick it up!

Let me know which barstools are your favourite!
