Sample Selection

Being a beauty lover, I end up with a lot of samples. I'm sure you can relate. Sometimes I use them up right away and other times, they end up sitting around. So I decided to start a little series reviewing some of these products. It will force me to use them and remind me to share my thoughts! This selection comes from a recent Sephora order.

First, I'll start with the perfume samples. I have quite the collection of little vials and won't be running out anytime soon but have really been wanting a Nest Fragrance, so when I saw this sample of Passiflora I added it to my picks. Nest Passiflora is a nice earthy scent, perfect for spring/summer weekends. It has a strong grassy note, which might not be for everyone. I love the botanical prints on the packaging. Sephora was doing a little promo for a deluxe fragrance sample. I picked Chloe as I always here great things about this classic scent. Plus, the teeny-tiny bottle is adorable. I am really liking this as an everyday perfume with the floral and cedarwood notes. Fresh is a skincare brand I am always happy to try, though I wish they weren't so expensive... I have been enjoying using the Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate. It has a super thick, almost bouncy, gel texture. It's very hydrating and firming. I have been using it morning and night, and it works well under make-up. There is currently a Black Tea value set listed at Sephora that might be worth looking into...Finally, I chose the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day set-really because it was three samples in one which made me feel like I was getting extras. It came with the Shampoo, Conditioner, and Styling Cream. I am not too picky with shampoo and conditioner, so I was surprised how much I fell in love with these. It made my hair smell amazing like lemons and oranges. I have yet to use the styling cream along side my blow dryer out of my sheer laziness when it comes to hair. But I am really excited to as just using it and letting my hair air dry make it soft and manageable.

What samples have you used up recently?

  1. I collect the little perfume miniatures. They're so adorable and cute! I don't even really use them nor do I like all of the scents, but they're just too sweet to pass up.
