Birchbox | April 2014

Now this is a theme I am identifying with at the moment as evidence by my past few weekly updates. I am all for a rainy day of good reads, movies, naps, and pamper sessions. However, I am not too pleased to have to sludge around the city avoiding 4-inch deep puddles. But as the card says, 'April showers bring May flowers', and I am happy to experience this omen of spring.

Box Breakdown
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Clear Brow Gel
BeeKind | Body Lotion
Davines | Oi Shampoo & Oi Conditioner
Shea Terra Organics | Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser
Kind Snacks | Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt

My initial reaction is that I am liking the variety of products in my box this month. I feel like they covered the whole beauty spectrum! I am most excited to try the Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser. I love treatments and this claims to be a '100% natural micro-dermabrasion in a bottle' and as I am also a fan of rose hip oil, I can't wait to try it out! Another natural product I received in this month's box is the BeeKind Body Lotion. It's a lighter lotion with a gel like consistency, just in time for the Spring and Summer. This has a lemony scent. I have never been one to obsess over brows and have never even tried brow gel before. I hear the Anastasia name everywhere when browsing the subject and am interested to try this Clear Brow Gel from the brand. I am loving the sleek packaging. My last beauty sample are Davines Oi Shampoo and Conditioner packets. I am always up to try new shampoo and conditioner. I am a bit hesitant though since I had previously gotten samples from the brand and didn't end up liking the scent or the way it made my hair feel. Perhaps, this formula will have a different outcome. Finally for a lifestyle extra, I received the Kind Snacks Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt. I am a big fan of Kind bars and snack/nutrition/protein bars in general, so I will be throwing this in my purse for sure

The little card in the box was cute-Rainy Day Ideas. It reminds me of the Snow Day cards from the Limited Edition Home Box this winter. I got Tip 37. Which tip did you get? I have to say though, I don't see myself paying $10 for the set of cards. I would have loved to read all the tips virtually though! There is also a card talking about the Birchbox Aces program. I am so happy that BB is doing a VIP program. And it's not ridiculous to make the cut (...Sephora...) Just by reviewing your samples each month you will easily make the 500 point threshold in a year. Free shipping is always a worthy perk in my book.
