Spring Make-up | Lavender Wash

I have been seeing this eye look in all my March & April magazines- a washed out pastel lid and mentioned in my 10 Things to Do This Spring post that I wanted to try it out. I'm more of a neutrals girl, but I do love playing with colour. It's perfect for spring and though it's a purple, it's quite wearable since it's so soft and light. I complemented with other spring products to have a fresh spring look.

Eyes
Wet n Wild Going into the Wild Eyeshadow Palette
Urban Decay Naked Basics
Jordana 12HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond
Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero
Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Demolition
Elf Liquid Liner in Black
Forever 21 Eyelash Curler
Physician's Formula Fake Out Mascara
Wet 'n Wild Panther Eyeshadow

For the eyes, I first primed with the Urban Decay Primer Potion (totally forgot to put it in the picture!). I then applied the Jordana Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond to bring out the colour of the shadow and keep it lasting as pastel shades can be difficult to show up. Next, I applied the left 'Crease' shade from the Wet n Wild Going into the Wild palette all over my lid and along my lower lashline. I had to pack it on with the brush rather than brushing it. Pastel mattes are tricky. I used the left 'Browbone' shade in this palette as my inner corner highlight. This could be the end of your shadows and is true to what the magazines showed, but I like to have a bit of crease definition to give my eyes some shape. I took a blend of Naked 2 and Faint from the UD Naked Basics palette and applied that into my crease to blend out the purple lid shade. I then used Foxy for an under the brow highlight. Next, I lined my eyes with the Elf Liquid Liner and set that with WnW Panther. Then, I curled my lashes and used UD Liner in Zero for the tightline, and UD Liner in Demolition for my waterline which I only went about half-way on to keep it bright and open. Finally, for mascara I used Physician's Formula Fake Out Mascara on top and bottom lashes.

Face
Elf Blush in Candid Coral
Pur CC Cream in Light
Victoria Secret Fresh Face Brightening Gel Cream
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
TopShop Lipstick in Whimsical
Tarte The Brow Architect
Victoria Secret Mega Glow Bronzer
Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana

For the face, I used the Victoria Secret Fresh Face Brightening Gel Cream before my foundation along my cheekbones and down my nose. Then I applied the Pur CC Cream in Light using a BeautyBlender and concealed using the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla. For my brows, I used Tarte's The Brow Architect. I contoured using the Victoria Secret Mega Glow Bronzer and used Elf Candid Coral for my blush. I highlighted with my favourite Wet n Wild Reserve your Cabana. Finally, I used TopShop's Whimsical on my lips to make it super Spring-y.

Would you try this look out?
