Pur Minerals CC Cream in Light
NYX Blush in Dusty Rose
Coastal Scents Quad in Rock Legend
Wet 'n Wild Nutty
Wet 'n Wild Panther
For basically the whole month, I have been using the Pur Minerals CC Cream in Light. I just did a full review here, but in sum, it's the perfect, light everyday base. As for blush, a current favourite has been the NYX blush in Dusty Rose. I have been doing darker eye looks with the start of autumn, and this blush just goes with everything. It's very close to my natural flush, so it doesn't clash when I am wearing deeper taupes, warmer cranberries, or jeweltones. I got this little Coastal Scents quad in Rock Legend in my September Birchbox, and I have been using it every day since. The colours are perfect taupes with some shades having a hint of berry. Brownstone and Victorian Pear make an easy everyday eye, and Blackberry and Chocolate Berry added to the outer edge make for a perfect deeper, smokey fall look. Two other eyeshadows I have been loving this month are singles from Wet 'n Wild. I posted about these two shades, Nutty and Panther, here. Nutty is a gorgeous taupe perfect for an all over lid shade, and Panther is a matte black that I use to set my liquid eyeliner. For $1.99 a piece, you get creamy, pigmented, long-lasting shadows. Can't beat that.
Burt's Bees Revitalizing Lip Balm with Blueberry & Dark Chocolate
Yes to Blueberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
Mally Age Rebel Eyeshadow in Smokey Quartz
This Dark Chocolate Blueberry Lip Balm by Burt's Bees is amazing. It smells so good. Plus, it keeps your lips hydrated and smooth. I love the Burt's Bees lip balms, and I definitely recommend this flavour. Another product from my September Birchbox, Yes to Blueberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes, surprisingly became a favourite this month. I am just not a make-up wipe type of girl. However, I fell in love with these after I used them when I went camping. I was only camping for one night, so I figured I would try these out. They smell amazing and really do a good job cleaning your skin and keeping it moisturized. I am still not a make-up wipe convert, but I like using these after cleansing or after applying a mask as a kind of toning step. If you are a make-up wipe user or if you are looking for something to clean/refresh/hydrate your face on the go, check these out. This next product I have been wanting so badly and am so happy to say it has lived up to my expectations. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla is, as the name states, a radiant, creamy concealer. It instantly brightens your face and diminishes under eye dark circles without creasing or looking caking. Another eyeshadow favourite, the Mally Age Rebel Eyeshadow in Smokey Quartz is a cream eyeshadow stick that lasts all day and has great pigmentation. The Smokey Quartz colour is gorgeous. I have been wearing this on it's own or even as a base for some of the shades in the Coastal Scents quad. This colour is so perfect for fall, and I know it will stay a favourite in the months to come. For a swatch, check out this post when I first got it at the Birchbox Local shop during NYFW.
Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Hedge Fund
OPI Liquid Sand in Alcatraz Rocks
Autumn Harvest Scented Soy Candle
Once September hit, I instantly started embracing fall nail colours. I posted my top ten fall nail polish choices here and have since added a few more polishes to the category. Julep Coco is a burgundy creme finish that is so classic for Autumn. From my September Birchbox, I received the Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Hedge Fund. The colour is a shimmering olive green; you can see a picture in this post. The formula is on the thick side, making it nice for the easy opaqueness, but it does chip and peel up fairly quickly. I recently picked up OPI Alcatraz Rocks, and it instantly became a favourite. It's a multidimensional textured polish with all my favourite fall colours. For more pictures of it, see my post here. And finally, I have a candle favourite. I purchased this Autumn Harvest Scented Soy Candle at Target. It's a perfect beginning of fall candle as the scent is a bit of a fresher take on apples, cinnamon, and crisp air. They had a lot of other great fall scents too that I will have to try such as Heritage Pumpkin and Nordic Pine.
I hope I will have some new favourites for October as I am still so in love with these! Tomorrow, I will be sharing some of my random favourites of the month. Hope you had a great September!
