OOTD | Summertime Trends

It's almost funny how awkward I am about the whole outfit post thing. I feel awkward asking Preston to help me with the photos, awkward posing on the street, awkward editing, and now I feel awkward writing about it. Why are close ups of my face less weird for me? I have no idea. I have been embracing summer styling this past week as the weather wouldn't have it any other way. Usually I am one to stick with one trend, but this outfit is a clash of quite a few and yet it still doesn't seem too much like you're a mannequin. Or I could be entirely wrong. I know nothing about fashion.

I love the look of rompers but didn't know if I would be able to find one that worked for my tall-ish, lanky self. I spotted this one one at Target and took a gamble. Surprisingly, I loved it. The shorts aren't too short nor is the cinched in section weirdly placed. Score. The romper is a lined chiffon, black with that trendy aztec print. Since it's poly chiffon it doesn't wrinkle, can be dressed up or down, and is all-in-all a very versatile piece. Another trend, I am in love with are d'orsays. I just think they are so chic, plus I can wear them to work. This pair is a faux suede from JustFab. They are a bit flip floppy, and I haven't broken them in just yet, but they instantly make you seem fashionable. I kept the accessories simple with a faux amethyst necklace and white satchel from F21 (see what's inside here). We were just walking around the Slope today-lunch at Melt Kraft and a stop in David's Tea. Typical. I am drinking the Cotton Candy Tea Pop, and it's good. Go try it.

Here is a link to my Luvocracy collection of what I could find links for! Those Forever 21 items were impossible to track down, so check your store. I went to the Union Square location.

What summer fashion trends are you loving?
