Ipsy | June 2013

"On the Wild Side" is the theme of the June 2013 Ipsy MyGlam bag. In viewing 'Sneak Peeks' on this month's products, I wasn't feeling too excited. Some of the items did in fact seem too "wild" for me; however, I was pleasantly surprised when I unzipped my bag.

Bag Breakdown
Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy
J.Cat Sparkling Cream Palette in Suzie
NYX Mosaic Powder in Spice
Cailyn Gel Eyeliner in Iron
psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo

Ipsy really does do colour cosmetic like no other beauty box out there. I am super happy with the NYX Mosaic blush in Spice. I have a couple other NYX blushes, and I love the mosaic nature of this powder. I initially thought the leopard & neon make-up bag would be too on the trendy side for me, but I think it would work as a cute beach or pool essential pouch. I may just be the most excited about the psssst! Dry Shampoo. I have been hearing many good words about this particular product and have yet to really delve into the world of dry shampoo.

Another product I was hesitant about was the J.Cat Sparkling Cream Palette. Though I still don't know how often I will use this little palette, it is quite fun to look at. The shades of Suzie are in golds, coppers, and bronzes. I do think it could work as glitter eyeliner for a special occasion.

I am quite excited for the Cailyn Gel Eyeliner. I love the Iron shade and think it would look nice as either a liner or a shadow. The packaging includes a brush which on one hand is convenient, on the other, makes it a bit bulky.

I have been looking for the perfect pinky coral shade, and I just might have gotten it with the Starlooks lip pencil in Tipsy. The shade is gorgeous, and it writes quite smoothly. However, I have yet to try it on my lips.

Overall, despite initially thinking this may not be the bag for me, I am again another happy Ipsy subscriber. Each month features great product sizes and variety. I am looking forward to trying out this month's products and, as is the nature of monthly boxes, am eager to see what's next!

What did you get in this month's Ipsy bag?
