Ipsy | May 2013

Today was an awesome mail day for me! My Birchbox, Ipsy, & Sam & Libby for Target order arrived! I thought I would spend the afternoon sharing my haul with you, starting with my Glam Bag from Ipsy. This is my second month with Ipsy and again I am blown away by the sizes and range of products they send out each month. This month's theme was Spring Fling. And ever since I saw the first spoiler, a full-size Zoya, I couldn't wait for this bag to make it to my doorstep.

Bag Breakdown
Pacifica | Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter
Yaba | Concealer in cc008 Buff
Zoya | Nail Polish in Jacqueline
Mirabella | Perfecting Powder Loose Powder
Juice Beauty | Lipgloss in Fig

Everything I pulled out of the bag was another thing that I felt so excited for (which I feel is the goal of subscription services).  My first initial reaction was the size of everything! Of course the first thing I did was open the Zoya box to see what colour I received. I knew they were sending polishes from this spring's Lovely collection. I only have Neely from that collection, so I was excited for any of the possibilities. I received Jacqueline, a light beige-yellow creme. Love!

The next thing I pulled out was the Mirabella perfecting powder. Another item I was instantly excited for. I have been in the market for a finishing powder and can't wait to try this. The packaging is gorgeous, and the size is great for a subscription service.

The Yaba concealer's little pan is actually a decent size for concealer, and the colour just might be an okay match (something I'm always wary of when subscription services send foundations/concealers).

I have been curious to try Pacifica's line of lotions and fragrances since I have heard so many good things about them. The Coconut Crushed Pearl bronzing body butter smells and feels so good! I don't know how much use I will get yet since it's bronzing and super shimmery. But it will look nice for the pool or beach in the summer.

The Juice Beauty lipgloss in Fig smells like a creamsicle and is a pretty sparkly shade. Another one with amazing size and packaging.

I love the teal & orange chevron print for this month's bag but am not so impressed by the quality. It's more flimsy feeling than last month's bag.

Overall, I am really happy with this months bag. It was a guarantee for me with the Zoya, but all the other products I am just as interested in. I feel like this bag is everything you need to have a fresh, bronzed spring look. If you are interested in subscribing click here!

What did you get in your Glam Bag this month?

  1. I tried out both Birchbox and Ipsy for a month but I decided it wasn't worth the money.. I do miss getting things in the mail that often though. I'm glad you like the products you received!

    1. It can be a gamble whether you like everything or not! I try to think of it as a service to discover new things & I always make sure to review for Birchbox points!
