Burt's Bees Lip Balm in Coconut & Pear
Zoya Nail Polish Remover
Velvet Hair Ties from Forever 21
When I went to Florida, I tried to streamline my skincare, so I brought the Tatcha Pure One-Step Cleansing Oil to be an easy night cleanser/make-up remover combo. It breaks up make-up so nicely and is so easy to use. I just apply it with dry hands to a dry face, then jump in the shower to rinse it all off with a bit of the Malin + Goetz Grapefruit Facial Cleanser (also used this in the morning). I love the Malin+Goetz travel set and will probably have to pick up another set to as it's perfect for travel, and I am running low on most of the products. I mentioned my fairly recent love for leave-in hair conditioners. Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner has been a fav. I didn't end up packing it and missed ending my shower routine with this spray. I did throw in the Macadamia Healing Oil and even though it was a favourite last month (or was it October?-correct answer: It was both...) I had to put it in again. It never ends up making my hair to greasy, just shiny and healthy looking. I am almost out of Lush Mask of Magnaminty which is a good thing as its expiration date is approaching. This mask does it all-hydrating, detoxifying, exfoliating. It makes me look like a sea monster, but I am definitely going to pick up another pot. I am always buying new flavours of Burt's Bees lip balms and picked up the Coconut & Pear scent. These are my favourite, no-fuss, throw in your purse balms, can't go wrong. The weather has been so dry, resulting in me constantly using hand cream. I got this Handmaid Hand Lotion in Fig in a limited edition Birchbox and love the scent and fast absorption.
For nails, I can't stop using Zoya Margo. I seriously haven't used one polish this many times in a row. It's such a pretty fall/winter plum. When I first started using the Zoya Nail Polish Remover, I was more impressed by the pump, but after bringing "regular" nail polish remover with me when I packed, I wish I had brought the Zoya instead. It is so much faster and less stripping on the nails. I'm converted. This season I burned through probably 3 Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam candles, and I have 2 more to go (though I might pack one up in the Christmas storage box as a surprise for next year). It's a scent both Preston & I love. It's comforting winter while being clean and refreshing. I just ordered some more Bath & Body Works goods, so I will have to include a haul soon. Before my trip, I decided to stop by Forever 21 for some new pjs and maybe a little travel accessory if I stumbled upon it. I ended up finding some cute prints for pajama pants and also picked up a packet of the elastic tie style hair ties. They are my favourite as they don't crease or break my hair. These ones are velvet which makes them even better. They hold their shape better (though at first I questioned them being able to get loose enough to fit around my hair), and they look pretty on the wrist. The pack I picked came with the gray and pink pictured and also black and navy. Random find but a good one.
Wow. That was a long favourites-especially for so many repeats. I am actually feeling really content with my whole beauty regime. There isn't much more I am lusting after or 'needing' which is a welcomed change. Expect January & February favourites to be much of these same products.
What were some of your favourite beauty products this month?
