Birchbox | May 2014

Though with much delay, I have finally received my May Birchbox. I was so excited that it was a collaboration with Kate Spade Saturday. I love the quirky chic vibe of the line.

A good mix of different beauty items this month! I am really excited about the Cynthia Rowley Eyeliner. The silver shade will be so much fun to play with. Though I have only swatched it on my hand so far, it's super creamy and pigmented. Another make-up item I got in my box was the Noya Beauty Lip Gloss in Summertime Peach. It's a natural lip gloss, which I love. It isn't sticky and quite pigmented. The colour is perfectly named. For body, I received a little soap bar from Sumbody in the scent Goats in the Lavender. The ingredients are natural including coconut oil, goat milk, and lavender. I just tried this out, and it leaves your skin feeling super clean but without stripping it like many soaps do. The lavender scent was also very relaxing. I followed it up with the Perlier Body Cream in Shea Almond. It smells like marzipan which I love, despite typically not being a sweet-scent person. It's super thick, like a body butter in a tube. Unfortunately, my little tube isn't sealed at the top, resulting in lotion shooting out all over the bathroom... Finally, I received a Kerastase Cristalliste shampoo and conditioner foil packet.
