So, as you can see, there is a lot of stuff in here! I think all the items fit perfectly into the 'snow day' theme, but you don't need to be in a climate with snow to enjoy them.
These next items will keep you comforted and cozy on short winter days & long winter nights (the sun sets here at like 4:15! Crazy!). Despite not having a fireplace (one day, on day), I have always wanted long fireplace matches. This set by Jonathan Adler has a super fun chevron print in blues, purples, and greens. I will feel quite fancy lighting my candles with these bad boys-which leads me to the next item. I received the (Malin+Goetz) Votive in the scent Cannabis. Some boxes will receive the scent Dark Rum. I have heard great things about Dark Rum, but I am not opposed to the Cannabis scent. It has a rich, a little earthy, cologne-like scent. What's a snow day without hot chocolate? The next two products solve that problem. The Askinosie Chocolate Cocoa Powder is an unsweetened cocoa allowing you to truly customize your drink or use it in your favourite holiday recipes. To top it all off, the box includes a two-pack of Three Tarts Cinnamon Marshmallows. Yum. And, of course, you need to stay comfy and cozy on a day in. This pair of Happy Socks does just the trick. I received a purple & black zebra print. They are super comfortable, not too tight which I find some fashion socks to be, and the combed cotton fabric achieves a balance of warmth while still being breathable. Why yes, I did just review socks...
This Mini Scrabble Set really sold me on this box. It is just too cute! I love the Birchbox colour scheme. It is definitely mini but not impossible to play on. Preston & I had an entertaining game last night. Strangely enough, despite being board game lovers & having at least five Scrabble sets in our respective family houses, we didn't have a set in our apartment.
Along the same lines as the monthly Birchbox, this box includes a card with descriptions of all the products included. There are also cards with more tips & tricks on how to enjoy the winter season. I love the design of these cards. They are double sided with cute snow graphics on the back. And the tips are quite useful too. The two-letter and Q-words on the Scrabble card were surprisingly educational.
I thought I would include some size comparisons as it can be difficult to gauge online. A regular monthly Birchbox is a little over half the size of the mini Scrabble board (which roughly measures 8 3/4 inches x 7 3/4 inches). Small, but still functional. The next picture compares a monthly Birchbox to the Snow Day Birchbox. A monthly Birchox is probably, roughly a third of the size of this limited edition box (which roughly measures 12 1/4 inches x 9 1/2 inches).
I am in love with this limited edition box. The products fit perfectly with the theme, and I will definitely enjoy using all the items. This box retails for $39 from the Birchbox website. I used a 20% off code and some points, making it a steal. It is still currently available, but it is limited edition, so if you are considering ordering it, I would ASAP! This is a great way to treat yourself or others during the winter and holiday season.

Do you like Birchbox's limited edition boxes? What do you think of this Snow Day box?
I like most of it, but I don't think I'd ever use the scrabble. It might end up being a good gift item though.
