Birchbox Local Pop-Up Shop

Happy Friday! I had another post planned for today but decided that I needed to switch it up instead due to this time sensitive information. Today, I went to the Birchbox pop-up shop at the Chelsea Market. It was open during NYFW last week and now it is open to the public! You can purchase many of your favourite items, receive free nail polish/hair/make-up touch ups, and for $15 you can build your own Birchbox (or for free if you spend $50). I thought I would share the Birchbox I built!

 Box Breakdown
Number 4 | Mighty Hair Spray
Pur Minerals | Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque
BeautyBlender
Mally Beauty | Age Rebel Waterproof Shadow Stick in Smoky Quartz
twistband

It was so much fun to "build your own box." Isn't it everyone's dream to have their exact picks be in their subscription service? There was actually quite a bit of variety for you to choose from. The "background" of these photos is the brand card that lists a lot of the different items (the ones I picked are checked off). Though not all of these items were available when I went today, it gives you a pretty good idea about what types of samples are being offered. Though I had to make some tough calls (Oh, nail polish I am sorry I didn't pick you!), I am so happy with my personalized Birchbox.

I decided to go with the Number 4 Hair Spray as I have sampled a couple of their products previously and really loved them. Number 4 is also vegan, gluten-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. So win, win, win, win. Next, I picked up the Pur Minerals Mudd Masque. I have been on a skincare kick lately, and I am always wanting to try new masks. Also, I have been trying out the Pur Minerals CC cream, so I was curious to try more from the brand. Of course, when I saw the BeautyBlenders, I had to add it to my box. Obsessed with these little guys, and it instantly made the box worth the price and more.  My next pick was the Mally Waterproof Shadow Stick in Smoky Quartz. I have been really wanting to try cream eyeshadow products but haven't wanted to make an investment in case I didn't end up liking the wear or application of the product. I am very excited to try this out as the colour is gorgeous and feels very creamy when applying. Plus, the packaging is sexy. Finally, though not the most high valued of choices, I had to get the twistband with the "That Filter Looks Good On You" design, being as insta-obsessed as I am.

I love walking around the Chelsea Market, and it was fun building my own Birchbox. All the Birchbox staff were very friendly and helpful. It wasn't too crowded when I went at about 3:30pm today. It's a pretty small space though, and everyone is taking time to deliberate their sample choices. Above, I posted the dates the pop-up shop is open in case you want to stop by!

Hope you have an amazing weekend!
