Coral Crush

Though I am craving the jewel-tone hues of fall, I also have quite the affinity for coral. As an ode to summer, I thought I would create a look centered around this popular shade. Plus, I had to try out my recently acquired Stila Countless Color Pigment in Finale.

The Stila Countless Colour Pigments are a beautiful tie-dye arrangement of coordinated shades. I spotted many shade options at a Nordstrom Rack for a great deal. Though I was interested in quite a few of the colour options, I decided to try the shade Finale. I love the versatility of this little pot. There are roughly three different colours which can be used separately, all together, or in any combination of the three. Above, I swatched the three main colours from lightest to darkest, followed by a mix of the shades all together.

For this look, I applied a mix of the two lightest shades to my lids and the darkest shade to the outer lower lash-line. I also used a mix of all the shades as a blush. The colours are nicely pigmented, and it's easy to create different colours (though a little more difficult to control the actual colour you get). Using it as a blush adds to its multi-function, although it's a bit more difficult to blend when used this way. To finish this crazy coral look, I applied Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy to my lips.

Now this isn't a look for everyday (Coral overload!) But it's fun to divert away from the everyday neutrals and show my appreciation for this fun summer colour.

Will you be carrying your favourite summer colours over to the new season?
