Favourites | July 2013

Another month has come and gone. I have to admit, I haven't added too many new things to my beauty routine. Though, I have ended up discovering a lot of amazing products through subscription services.  Here are some of my favourite products of July.

I love Urban Decay eyeshadows, especially the Naked palettes. Though, I would say I prefer the shades in the first Naked, this month I have been using the sequel. I have especially been loving Half-Baked (gold) and Chopper (copper). As for a new discovery, the Sonia Kashuk Kiss on the Cheek palette has been a favourite this month as well. This is definitely the most versatile product, four great hues that can be used on both the lips and cheeks.

A lot of Birchbox and Ipsy samples have made the favourites cut this month. I received a sample of Coola sunscreen from each service and have found them to be the perfect moisturizer with sun protection for summer days. I am definitely going to have to order the full size of the Classic Sunscreen which is cucumber scented and has an SPF of 30, though the Unscented version is nice too. As I have mentioned before, I have been obsessed off-white nail polish. I have loved using Zoya Jacqueline and Color Club Mod in Manhattan as bases for nail art. Another favourite from Ipsy has been the Pop Pouty Pop Crayon in Rose Romance. It's easy to apply and has a nice mint taste.

Some hair care favourites of the month have been the psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo. I have never really been one to use dry shampoo; however, I might just now be hooked. I hate washing my hair every other day, but I know it's supposed to be better for your hair (& it makes showering on off days so much faster). This makes me feel a little less weird about it as it feels refreshing and smells good. The No. 4 Super Comb Prep and Protect is another refreshing and good smelling hair care product. I love this stuff and know I will run out of this sample too soon. This really does make my hair feel so much softer and more manageable after showering.

I only have one random favourite for this month, and it's the Spicy Chai Tea Latte Mix from Trader Joe's. Chai lattes are my absolute favourite drink, and I love the convenience of this mix. The only downside is how much sugar and other not-so-great ingredients are in here. But it tastes so good!

What are some of your favourites from July?
