Two Ways | Color Club Blue-Ming

In my July Birchbox, I received a mini bottle of Color Club nail polish in Blue-Ming. The colour is a bright mint. It is gorgeous! So perfect for summer! I did have some issues with the formula of the polish but think it might be because it's a mini bottle. I found the polish to be very thick & the brush was difficult to work with (very stiff and the ends kinda of frayed out.) Unfortunately,  I ended up with some bubbles in my application. However, it's a beautiful colour, very opaque, & has a nice shiny finish.

Two coats of Blue-Ming without topcoat

Later in the week, I decided I wanted to paint my nails this colour again, even in spite of the application problems. I also had just watched a YouTube video of a Fishtail Braid nail art design that I wanted to try. I was originally going to use Blue-Ming with gray and white, but I told myself that I needed to be a little more adventurous in my colour combinations and grabbed the yellow!

I love how it turned out! This is a very easy design that requires no special tools. All you need is your polish! To see how to do this, watch this video! I love the look of the design and can imagine so many amazing colour combinations to try. The only thing I didn't like was how many layers you end up having. By the tip of your nail, it gets pretty thick. So definitely be patient when waiting for it to dry!

For my fishtail braid manicure, I used:
  • Color Club | Blue-Ming
  • NYC | Lexington Yellow
  • NYC | Sidewalkers

So what do you think of Color Club Blue-Ming & the Fishtail Braid Mani?
