Birchbox | November 2013

This month's Birchbox theme is #moregood, which I think is apt for this time of year. I have seen several different box variations and was highly anticipating the arrival of my box. I think this month might just be a winner for everyone.

Box Breakdown
Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Opal
Aloxxi Flexible Hairspray
Color Club Nail Polish in Baldwin Blues
Ayres Body Butter in Midnight Tango
Fatty Sundays Chocolate Covered Pretzel in Toasted Coconut

I am very happy with my box! No foils, a nice variety of products, and of course, nail polish. I love when BB does a little booklet. I always find some inspiring tips & tricks for gift-giving, beauty, and lifestyle. As I am flipping through it, I just want to plan a chic winter party! Okay, now back to the box. The Ayres Body Butter in Midnight Tango has a nice, creamy texture that doesn't leave you feeling sticky or oily. The scent is a more masculine take on a citrus vanilla, which I am quite liking. The scent and texture are both perfect for the approaching winter (I mean it did snow yesterday!). I love getting mini nail polishes, and though I have accumulated quite the few Color Club minis from Birchbox, I am definitely not getting tired of it. Color Club Baldwin Blues is my favourite shade of blue. A navy with a bit of gray. It reminds me a lot of Zoya Natty, one of my all time favs. During fall and winter, I tend to style my hair more (less fear of humidity ruining it), so I am happy to try out the Aloxxi Flexible Hairspray. I want my style to last without feeling crunchy. The Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Opal sample is beautifully packaged and looks to be a lovely colour. Though I won't be using it (Laura Mercier tests on animals), I will set it aside as a stocking stuffer for the holidays. Now that I took my pictures for this post, I am going to dive right into the Fatty Sundays Chocolate Covered Pretzel in Toasted Coconut. I love coconut! I might have to order some for the holidays as my sister loves chocolate covered pretzels.

So that's my box! Birchbox has quite a few different things going on for the approaching holidays. There is an awesome Holiday Shop to help you find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list, free shipping on all orders over $25, and they have a limited edition home box (which I am anxiously awaiting to arrive on my doorstep.)

If you want to join Birchbox, you can follow my link here. You probably know by now, it's $10 a month. But considering you basically get a dollar for every review to spend in the BB Shop, it practically brings it down to $5 a month. And you can't beat that.

What did you get in this month's Birchbox?
