Hula Skirt Nail Art (a.k.a. Waterfall Nails)

I have been loving off-white nail polish lately for some odd reason, but I have also been wanting to use some fun bright shades for the season. I decided why not have both? This design is based off The Nailasaurus' Waterfall Nails. To me, it looks more like a hula skirt than water, but either way it's a fairly easy and super customizable nail art technique.

I started with a base of Color Club Mod in Manhattan, a bright off-white creme. I used a long striper brush to paint on lines in various lengths with my 1st (Butter London Fruit Machine), 2nd (Essie First Timer), 3rd (Zoya Rory), and 4th (Zoya Zuza) colours. Unfortunately my striper is not quite tapered enough to bring on the skinny point; however, I am still loving the final effect.

Too many times I have been faced with the tough decision of, "Which colour should I paint my nails today?"  I love having nail art designs in my repertoire that allow me to use a lot of different polishes in one look. This nail art definitely fits in that category, letting me combine neutrals & brights, cremes & foils into one cohesive mani.
