Fourth of July Nail Art

It's Independence Day in the US, so I thought I would paint my nails for the occasion. I couldn't decide between so many different designs and polishes options, so I did a skittle mani of sorts to fit the Red, White, & Blue theme.

I love the mix of design and textures. This mani is definitely patriotic.  On my pinky, I used Zoya PixieDust in Liberty, as the name was so appropriate. For my ring finger and thumb, I used Julep America. I was so excited for an opportunity to wear this amazingly dense, sparkling glitter. For my middle finger, I used striping tape to create the iconic stripes of the American flag with Zoya Sooki and Wet 'n Wild White Creme. For my index finger, I used Zoya Sooki, Wet 'n Wild White Creme, and Essie Butler Please. I made the pinwheel design after seeing it on Chelsea King's instagram. It's a pretty tricky design to do! I used a striping brush which worked much better for creating the thin lines of the design (At first, I tried with a super small nail art brush. That was a fail.) I will definitely need more practice to master the pinwheel!

I am excited to celebrate! We will be grilling and eating outside and later watching fireworks. Fireworks & food, what more could you want?

Hope you have a fun day!

  1. These look great!! I also used Essie's Butler Please for my blue! It is the perfect blue for a July 4th nail tutorial.
