My absolute favourite discovery of this month was the Suki Face Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser. I received this in my June Birchbox and am definitely going to purchase the full-size. It smells of sugar and lemons. The natural sugar exfoliation really makes my skin feel instantly softer, yet it turns to a foam quickly so the exfoliation isn't too abrasive. The Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer is super light while still giving skin the moisture it needs. It also has some great ingredients for your skin, as well as it doesn't have perfumes or dyes. I was first attracted to the Freeman Anti-Stress Mask because of the 'Anti-Stress' in the name. At the time I purchased this, I was finishing up graduate school, and my mind and my skin were feeling the brunt of it. I have been enjoying using this mask as a weekly ritual. It really does seem to purify and clear pores which are a problem area for me.
I have already shared my love for bright lip colours, and this Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy from my June Ipsy Bag, is definitely a favourite this month. The coral colour is perfect for summer, and the formula doesn't budge from your lips. Another summer trend I have loved this month was coloured eyeliners. I keep my eyes matte but use the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Purple for a fun pop of colour. I have been loving this Pencil Brush from Sonia Kashuk, it is the perfect shape and density for smudging shadow along the lash lines or getting a defined outer-v shape.
I changed my nail colour quite often this month, but one thing that kept constant was the Duri Miracote Top Coat. My bottle of Seche Vite was getting to the goopy stage and instead of repurchasing, I wanted to find something that wouldn't shrink my polish, wouldn't become unusable half-way down the bottle, and most importantly, was at least 3-free. I randomly picked up this top coat from a beauty store and have been quite happy with the results. Though it doesn't dry quite as fast as Seche Vite, I haven't had any problems with shrinking, and it leaves a high-shine finish. A couple of other nail polishes I loved this month were from Urban Outfitters. I love UO's polishes because they keep up with all the nail trends and are super affordable. I especially love all their Deborah Lippmann dupes. Sea Dust and Mystic are pretty close to Mermaid's Dream and Ray of Light.
I absolutely love stationery. The two things I can't get enough of are probably nail polish and Post-It notes. This month, I have been writing Thank You notes to so many people, and it made me realize how important it can be to send someone a simple card. I purchased the Anchor Thanks cards at Target and the gold dotted Thank You cards from T.J. Maxx. I would highly recommend checking out T.J. Maxx; they have a great selection and are really affordable.
My fashion favourite of this month was this Black to White Ombre scarf from H&M. It's a linen type material, so it works well for summer. It makes a simple t-shirt and jeans outfit a little more put together.
