We were both so excited to take a vacation and to explore the city. We are currently in an intense debate on whether to stay in Brooklyn or move to Portland. So this visit was both to get a sense of the city as a potential place to live and to see some of the major sites whilst on the opposite end of the country. Below are some of the highlights of our trip.
[Stumpton Coffee. I definitely brought back a pound with me.]
[Delicious brunches at cute locations]
[Pioneer Courthouse Square]
[Powell's Bookstore]
[The Chinese Garden]
[Shopping along NW 23rd]
[The Japanese Garden]
[Washington Park]
[Voodoo Doughnut]
[Air Tram views of the city]
We tried to stop by both tourist and local spots during our trip, and I think we accomplished that. We had such a great four days. The city is beautiful. It was interesting to note how Portland compares and contrasts from NYC and Brooklyn in particular. (It was also funny to see how accurate the show Portlandia really is....) Overall, it was an amazing trip, and I would love to go back again.
