Review | NYX Cheeks & Lips

I love make-up, and the more blogs I read & YouTube videos I watch, the longer my wishlist for new products grows. I crossed off several items off with these new NYX products.  I have actually never tried anything from NYX before despite attractive prices & rave reviews on so many different types of products. I have been really interested in adding to my blush collection as well, so I figured let's knock two things out at once! & I threw in some lipgloss for good measure.

The blush colours I chose are Dusty Rose and Terra Cotta. They are two I have heard a lot about, talk of being dupes for Nars blushes, and overall good colours. Dusty Rose is a matte medium pink. Terra Cotta is a shimmering darker orange toned coral.

I also decided to order the "Kiss the Stars" lipgloss set. I have heard a lot about NYX lipglosses and notably a few of the colours in the set. Beige, in particular, is quite a talked about gloss! These colours also seemed wearable for everyday. All the glosses are super glossy. Beige is a pink, despite the name, and has no shimmer. Natural is a, you guessed it, natural colour with no shimmer either. Sugar Pie is a lighter nude and is very frosted.

I have been loving wearing these products. I am so far really impressed with the quality! Texture and pigmentation are great on both the blushes and glosses. With that great pigmentation comes a precaution: be a bit careful with the blushes, it's easy to over-apply. The blushes also have great staying power, lasting all day. The lipglosses definitely need to be reapplied, but they aren't marketed as a long-wearing product so I was expected this type of wear.

I'm really glad I added these new NYX products to my collection. I purchased the blushes & lipgloss set from urbanoutfitters.com (I needed to get my order up for free shipping :]) You can find NYX at many other locations as well including ulta.com. I am excited to try more NYX products. I have heard great things about their matte lipsticks, jumbo eyeshadow pencils, and eyeshadow trios. My one caveat is the ingredients aren't the best, the blushes contain parabens and the lipglosses are basically pure mineral oil. NYX is against animal testing which is something really important to me when I purchase beauty products.

Do you own any NYX products? What are some of your recommendations?
